How To Measure Foot Size

Women’s shoe sizes can vary between different shoe brands and manufacturers, which means this size chart can never be correct for all shoes. But remember that many shoe brands also show shoe sizes in actual measurements (inches or cm). By using these sizes, it is more likely that you will get a well-fitting pair of women’s shoes.

Should I measure Right or Left Foot? – We highly recommend to do the measuring process with both left and right foot (one of them can actually be slightly larger than the other!)

Step One: Equipment For Measuring Shoe Size

Place a blank paper sheet (paper size A4 or similar) on the floor (you may tape the paper sheet down on the floor.) Sit on a chair (on the edge) and place your foot on the paper sheet, with your leg slightly bent forward. Make sure you have a pencil/marker available.

Step Two: Make A Footprint

Draw the outline of your foot carefully all the way around. Draw as close to the foot as possible, but make sure not to draw “under” the foot. If you do not manage to do the drawing yourself, ask a good friend for help.

Step Three: Measure Foot size (Shoe size)

Now you should take two measurements from your drawings (both feet), using a ruler or a measuring tape. Use your preferred units of measure (inches (US) or cm (EU).) Measure the length between the back of the heel and the tip of the longest toe. For width, measure the length between the widest points of the foot.

Step Four: Determine Your Shoe Size

After having measured both feet, use the largest measurements (largest length measurement and largest width measurement) and determine your shoe size directly from our shoe size charts;

Note: If your measurement is placed between two sizes (rows) in the chart, we recommend that you round up to the closest shoe size.
